Constant Criticism June 19, 2025

Why not ask for support from Western Christians?

Since I fled overseas, some have asked: “Why don’t you seek help from Christians abroad?”
Actually, I started one month ago. I’ve posted on many platforms, shared my Zelle and PayPal.
Sadly, not a single cent has come in.

In the West, if someone says:

“I’m transgender, but not accepted,”
people will quickly give.

If someone says:

“I’m Muslim or Buddhist and treated unfairly,”
they will receive sympathy and support.

If someone says:

“I’m Black,”
help will come even without asking.

If someone says:

“I’m gay and need help,”
even the government might help.

But if someone says:

“I’m a Christian,”
no one listens.

If you say:

“The West is falling because it turned from God,”
people reply:
“Christianity is outdated. It doesn’t fit modern society or politics.”

Western society is turning to other spiritual paths—
they pursue mystical ideas from Eastern or African religions and philosophies.
If a child tells classmates “I’m a Christian,” others may say, “That’s lame.”

What about South America and Africa?

These are the fastest-growing regions for Christianity.
But many there rarely read the Bible.
They mix Jesus with ancestor worship and charms.

Here’s what’s common:

Prosperity Gospel:
“Believe in Jesus and you’ll get rich.”
“Give more money and you’ll receive more blessings.”

Extreme Charismatic Movements:
Fake healings, fake miracles, fake prophecies, and emotional manipulation

Self-proclaimed Apostles and Prophets:
Many claim to be “new apostles” or “prophets” and build their own little kingdoms.

What about churches in China?

Chinese churches often teach:

“We belong to the Kingdom of Heaven.”
“We must submit to those in power.”

But they rarely speak of:

living justly as believers
or taking part in renewing society.

Many churches have become Caesar’s obedient children.

What about churches around the world?

The Bible speaks not only about going to heaven,
but also about acting justly here on earth—
as seen in Amos, Micah, and Jesus’ rebukes to the Pharisees.

Why is this being ignored?

Because churches fear Caesar.
They fear persecution.
They avoid “political sensitivity.”

And what do they preach?
Only God’s love—not His judgment.
Only grace—not repentance.
Only acceptance—not holiness.

Why?
Because they fear offending the congregation.

Today, the full message of Scripture is being torn apart.
Churches fear earthly kings, not the King of Heaven.
They please people—but not God.

The Result?

Churches and Christians stay silent about evil systems.
They don’t intercede for the oppressed.
They allow injustice to grow.

When Christians withdraw from society,
truth disappears.
Darkness spreads.
Corruption rules.

The church loses its witness—no longer salt or light.

And worse:
Many believers try to justify their silence and cowardice.

To the world, Christianity now looks like this:
Cowardly. Weak.
Full of excuses.
Hypocritical.
Lacking basic moral clarity.

Return to the Bible

Philippians 3:20 – “But our citizenship is in heaven.” (Heavenly identity)
Matthew 5:13–16 – “You are the salt of the earth… You are the light of the world.” (Earthly influence)
Micah 6:8 – “Do justice, love mercy, walk humbly with your God.” (Righteous responsibility)
Acts 5:29 – “We must obey God rather than men.” (Obedience has limits)

God never told us to escape the world—
but to live out His kingdom within the world.

Return to the Whole Gospel

We must preach a full gospel:

Yes, salvation by grace,

But also, how to live out God’s kingdom on earth.

The Christian tradition speaks of our cultural mandate.
We must remember:

Christ is Lord of all
in education, law, business, politics, and family.

A Healthy Church Must Engage Society

The church must:

Pray for the oppressed,

Speak against injustice,

Defend what is right.

Christians must learn to discern good and evil.
We must not fear being called “political.”
We must face this world with truth and love.
